Faye Garito is the current Dutchess County Legislator for District 22, representing Beekman and Union Vale, deeply rooted in the community as a lifelong resident and co-owner of a local business for 46 years. She brings values of hard work, honesty, and integrity to her role, where she chairs the Family & Human Services Committee and serves on the Public Safety Committee. Garito is committed to protecting vulnerable citizens, smart county growth, and advocates for experienced, transparent governance, urging voters to support her in the June 2025 primaries.
Stella Slattery is a long-time Beekman resident with a deep commitment to her community, having raised her four children there and actively volunteered in various capacities, including school organizations and local boards. With a background that includes working in education and healthcare, serving on a national children's advocacy board, and holding positions on the Beekman Planning and Zoning Boards, she brings extensive experience in community service and understanding of local governance. A multilingual individual with a strong sense of civic duty influenced by her European upbringing, she aims to serve on the Town Board with ethical leadership, focusing on financial stability, solidifying town reserves, and updating the master plan to benefit all Beekman residents.
Ezio Battaglini is a long-time Beekman resident and community servant with a background in manufacturing and emergency management. Having moved to Poughquag in 1984 to raise his family, he has been an active member of the Beekman Fire Company for 40 years, serving as an EMT, firefighter, fire commissioner, and currently as Assistant Chief. Battaglini also brings business experience from owning and managing a manufacturing company, and as a town council member since 2013, he has contributed to improving Beekman's financial status, preventing fraud, and overseeing significant infrastructure projects.
Frank Lemak is a lifelong Beekman resident seeking re-election to the Town Board, emphasizing his commitment to the community where he grew up and built his life. As a current board member, he highlights his efforts to control taxes, including a recent tax reduction, and his vote against increasing board member salaries, underscoring his focus on service over personal gain. A blue-collar worker with the county's Department of Public Works, Lemak pledges a strong work ethic, a willingness to help neighbors, and a dedication to funding infrastructure improvements for Beekman's future.
Brian Green is running for Beekman Highway Superintendent, emphasizing his lifelong residency, 17 years as a volunteer with the Beekman Fire Company, and a commitment to collaborative leadership. He highlights his qualifications as a successful local businessman with expertise in budget management, heavy equipment operation, and construction, along with experience as a Fire Commissioner. Green pledges to ensure safe, well-maintained roads, respect for all town employees, and responsible fiscal management, prioritizing the community's best interests and avoiding unnecessary conflicts.
